Registered Nurse Supervisor - Alerts [Remote]

This role provides clinical and operational leadership for a fully remote team managing real-time patient alerts within remote monitoring programs.
You will oversee a high-volume, queue-based care environment where timely decisions, clinical accuracy, and consistency directly influence patient outcomes.
The position combines nursing leadership with performance management, clinical quality oversight, staffing, and workflow optimization.
You will coach frontline RNs and LPNs while monitoring operational metrics and ensuring appropriate alert resolution and escalation.
Working closely with clinical leaders, you will help strengthen care pathways, education programs, and scalable chronic disease management processes.
The role is well suited to an experienced nurse leader who thrives in fast-paced, technology-enabled healthcare environments.

Accountabilities:

As a clinical and operational leader, you will manage daily alert workflows, team performance, clinical quality, and staffing while partnering with leadership to continuously improve remote care delivery.

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a remote team of RNs and LPNs responsible for reviewing and resolving real-time patient alerts.
• Monitor queue performance, alert resolution times, throughput, billable activity, staffing coverage, and other operational metrics.
• Conduct clinical audits and chart reviews to assess triage quality, documentation accuracy, escalation decisions, and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Provide structured coaching, real-time feedback, and formal performance management to strengthen clinical judgment and productivity.
• Partner with RN Managers and clinical leadership on escalation pathways, staffing models, workflow optimization, and clinical education.
• Support recruiting and onboarding by assessing candidates for triage readiness, clinical decision-making, communication, and operational fit.
• Manage remote team operations, including staffing coverage, scheduling, PTO coordination, and performance-related needs.
• Contribute directly to alert management and patient care workflows during periods of elevated volume or staffing constraints.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational consistency, clinical workflows, and the overall effectiveness of technology-enabled care delivery.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Nurse leader with strong clinical judgment, operational management skills, and experience working in high-volume triage or remote care environments. You should be comfortable balancing patient-centered care with measurable performance and service-level expectations.

• Active, unencumbered RN Compact multi-state license required.
• 5+ years of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse in triage, acute care, ICU, urgent care, remote patient monitoring, chronic disease management, or a similar setting.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience leading nurses in a high-volume, queue-based, triage, or remote care environment.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating clinical quality, triage decisions, escalation appropriateness, and documentation accuracy.
• Strong operational management experience using metrics such as alert volume, throughput, handling time, staffing coverage, and productivity.
• Experience managing remote teams, including scheduling, PTO coordination, staffing coverage, and performance management, is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience leading team meetings and one-on-one conversations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted clinical tools such as Gemini, Open Evidence, or comparable platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coach clinicians, provide actionable feedback, and maintain high standards of clinical quality.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.
