Civil Engineer - Aviation

Responsibilities Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has an immediate need for a mildly experienced civil engineer to join our aviation group at our Ontario, CA office location. This full time position may offer hybrid working opportunities. Responsibilities include: Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents, computations and quantity estimates Assists with analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects Assists with development of probable construction cost estimates for projects May coordinate with technicians to reduce designs to working drawings Some travel will be required to local customer sites. Minimal out of state travel. The successful candidate will have the following: A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited college or university -AND-one (1) year of related experience. EIT is preferred. The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: 1-3 years of related experience preferred Experience in Aviation projects is desirable Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software Comfortable with public speaking and working in a client facing role Strong communication skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical reports, regulations/specifications along with ability to write technical reports and business correspondence Heavy civil construction experience Construction field tasks including site grading, utilities, drainage, erosion control, paving, materials testing, and/or surveying Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project software programs Mead & Hunt proudly offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid sick leave, parental leave, a 401K plan with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, and an employee assistance program.
