Oncology Account Manager/Sr. OAM - San Diego, CA

The Role The Oncology Account Manager builds and maintains strong professional relationships with key customers and stakeholders in private practice, medical group practices, hospitals/academic medical centers, office, and ancillary staff involved in the care of cancer patients. The role is a clinical and business leader representing Genmab’s values by providing approved disease and product information to key decision makers within the assigned territory. Assigned territory: San Diego, La Jolla, and Chula Vista, CA. Candidates must live within commuting distance. Responsibilities Support Genmab’s Oncology portfolio in the U.S. marketplace. Meet or exceed assigned sales goals by positioning Genmab’s products for appropriate patients. Manage time effectively by prioritizing engagements that drive brand value. Develop and implement robust territory business plans, meeting or exceeding productivity requirements. Balance virtual and in‑person engagements, tailoring communication to account preferences. Analyze key market data points and translate insights into effective business planning. Build and maintain strong long‑term relationships with customers, continuously challenging them with value‑based solutions. Represent Genmab’s brands in a professional, compliant, ethical manner. Demonstrate thorough understanding of disease states, Genmab’s brands, and competitive products, articulating value across all communication media. Show proficiency in the broader reimbursement environment, understanding reimbursement and fulfillment pathways for injectable medications. Exhibit highly effective territory management and superior selling competencies. Creatively gain access to customers in the modern landscape. Share knowledge, experience, and information to foster team effectiveness and shared goals. Effectively manage territory resources and budget. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing Genmab U.S. staff. Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 4+ years in sales, marketing, or clinical (pharmaceutical, biotech, rare disease, or patient care). 4+ years of demonstrated success in Oncology sales and/or account management (consider for Senior Oncology Account Manager). Oncology launch experience preferred. Strong account management capabilities and proven sales performance track record. Strong business analytics skills to understand and act on business and market drivers. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key customers and stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in matrix teams. Self‑driven and motivated to enhance performance. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Teams, Veeva, etc. Flexibility, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Commitment to operating in alignment with industry laws, regulations, and high ethical standards. Salary Proposed salary band: $160,000.00 – $240,000.00 (actual offer will consider skills, qualifications, experience, and location). Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses and long‑term incentives. Benefits 401(k) Plan: 100% match on the first 6% of contributions.
