Summer Blast Camp Counselor

Summer Blast is a collaborative summer learning program located at Giddens School in Seattle, WA. The program centers on joyful, rigorous, and culturally responsive learning experiences that nurture the academic growth, social‑emotional development, and curiosity of elementary students. We are actively seeking dedicated, engaged, and culturally competent educators from diverse backgrounds who are excited to support students through hands-on, project‑based summer learning. Requirements Required by date of hireAbility to pass a background check.Current TB test result.RequirementsExperience working with elementary‑age children (professional or equivalent relevant experience).Ability to plan and facilitate lessons or activities, or a demonstrated willingness to learn.Strong classroom management skills or openness to coaching and growth.Genuine enthusiasm for teaching, learning, exploring, and playing with children.Participate in training sessions as required.PreferredExperience with project‑based learning or enrichment programming.Training in culturally responsive teaching practices.MERIT/STARS training (30‑hour preferred).Current First Aid/CPR, BBP, and HIV training certifications.
