We are currently searching for candidates to fill an Inventory Control position in our Calvert, AL location.Responsibilities:Receives, stores, and issues parts and specialty hand tools, machine tools, materials, and equipmentPrepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computerPrepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock countsUpdates information on computer to maintain inventory recordsReceives, unpacks, and stores incoming parts, tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventoryMay repair, service, and lubricate tools and equipment, using hand tools, spray gun, or pressurized spray canMay deliver parts, tools or equipment to workers, manually or using hand truckMay mark and identify parts, tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking toolMaintain orderly and debris-free inventory stock roomMay prepare shipping documents for shipmentsMay operate forklift, overhead crane, jib crane, straps and rigging for lifting, pallet truck and banding tool as necessary to process goodsMay operate automatic floor cleaning machine, as neededOther work may be assigned at Management's discretionEducation/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:High School or EquivalentTwo to three years of related experience in a steel maintenance repair facilityCrane/Forklift certification – In-house training provided to obtain certificationAbility to safely use ForkLift, Overhead Crane, Jib Crane, Bander, Pallet Truck, Hand ToolsMust use proper safety equipment including Hard Hat, Safety Boots, Safety Glasses; Basic PPEDriver's license is neededPrimetals Technologies offers a full range of benefits starting with first day of employment.
