Apartment Maintenance Associate

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Associate for a lumber company in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you will be assisting customers with loading materials and helping with any general duties needed. This position is full time temporary to hire.

Pay Rate

$20.00 per hour

Shift and Schedule

9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday with some Saturdays when needed

Apartment Maintenance Associate Duties and Responsibilities

• Resident Work Orders: Promptly address tenant requests, including repairing appliances, fixing leaks, and fixing electrical issues.
• Unit Turns ("Make-Ready"): Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by repairing drywall, painting, changing locks, and replacing worn items.
• Preventative Maintenance: Routinely inspect buildings, HVAC systems, lighting, and plumbing to prevent failures.
• Emergency Repairs: Participate in on-call rotations to handle urgent after-hours issues like floods or heating failures.
• Grounds and Property Upkeep: Maintain exterior areas, including cleaning common areas, removing trash, and assisting with snow removal or landscaping.

Apartment Maintenance Associate Qualifications and Requirements

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Tools: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Physical Ability: Lift heavy objects (50–100 lbs), climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. (in-office assessment will be conducted)
• Customer Service: Professionalism and strong communication skills when dealing with residents.
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license, clean MVR, background check and drug screen
