Job Opportunity

This position involves reviewing patient histories and physician's orders, educating patients about procedures, and ensuring their understanding and cooperation. The role includes preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the scope of practice, as well as monitoring patient conditions and responding to any changes appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examinations.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications as needed.
• Continuously monitor patient conditions and report/respond to changes in status.
• Prepare necessary equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze imaging results and identify quality issues.
• Take corrective actions to resolve image quality issues, including patient repositioning.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography (CT).
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology; completion of CT technology certificate program preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Radiology and CT.
• Ability to float between the X-ray and CT departments as needed.
• Availability for shifts of four 10-hour days with on-call requirements and every other weekend.
