Details Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting Care for a wide variety of cardiac and respiratory patients with fluctuating acuity Patient ratio of 4:1 Day shift schedule Required to work every other weekend and holidays No on-call requirements Overtime available for those interested Block schedules cannot be guaranteed, though preferred schedules will be accommodated when possible Requirements Active Illinois RN license required Current BLS/BCLS certification required Current ACLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Progressive Care Unit experience required Additional Information Assess patients' mental, physical, and spiritual needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team Provide patient and family education and instructions Use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition Maintain complete and accurate medical records Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care Contribute to a supportive and collaborative departmental culture Manager is easily accessible and visible to night shift staff at least twice per week Participate in ongoing continuing education American Traveler Job ID P-740390.
