Managing Director - Capital Formation

The company is seeking an accomplished capital formation professional to join its senior leadership team. We advise private markets managers and sponsors on primary fundraising, direct and co-investment raises, and secondary transactions across private equity, venture/growth, credit, and real estate with a historical emphasis on private equity.

The immediate opportunity is to lead investor engagement and raise capital for current and future mandates and be a part of senior leadership guiding the firm on its next phase of growth. We are looking for someone with established investor relationships and significant market experience who can move active opportunities through diligence to commitments and closings.

This is an opportunity to join an established advisory firm during its growth phase. You will work across a diverse pool of private markets mandates, contribute to future client development, and help the company expand nationally and internationally. Primary fundraises range from $200m to $2bn, co-investment raises range from $20m to $200m, and secondary transactions range from $50m-$200m. Our ambition is to build a leading global private capital advisory firm, with senior leaders who have a meaningful role in shaping its direction.

What You Will Do

• Lead capital raising for current fund, direct investment, and co-investment mandates across private equity, growth, credit, and real assets.
• Put your investor relationships to work by identifying suitable capital providers, leading conversations, and advancing prospects through diligence and closing.
• Advise clients on fundraising strategy, positioning, investor materials, and communications.
• Support GP-led secondary transactions, including single-asset and multi-asset continuation vehicles.
• Develop new client relationships and help identify attractive future mandates.
• Contribute to the firm’s expansion in the United States and international markets.

What You Bring

• At least 15 years of experience in private markets fundraising, capital formation, or placement advisory.
• A demonstrable record of securing substantial investor commitments.
• Active relationships with institutional investors, family offices, or other relevant capital providers.
• The ability to assess an investment opportunity, communicate its merits clearly, and guide investors through a closing.
• Strong client judgment, initiative, and an interest in helping build a growing advisory firm.
• Active Series 7 and 63 registrations are preferred;
  candidates who are not currently registered should be willing to obtain the necessary registrations after joining.
