Additional information is available at dovercorporation.com.Position Summary: The Global Trade Compliance Manager will focus on U.S. customs and international trade compliance matters. This position reports to the Senior Associate Counsel, Global Regulatory Affairs within the Dover Law Department. The successful candidate will coordinate closely with trade and compliance personnel at Dover's Operating Companies (OpCos), and a proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines is essential. Specific responsibilities of the Global Trade Compliance Manager will include:Assist the Senior Associate Counsel with performing risk assessments of the trade compliance program, including at the OpCo levelReview classification, import, and export processes within the OpCos and identify gapsIdentify and share best practices amongst the various OpCos in the areas of classification, import, and export processesHelp align and implement process improvements across Dover's OpCos in order to reduce risks and identify key areas for improved efficiencyAct as internal liaison for requests from OpCo trade compliance personnel regarding systems accessCreate reports within PowerBI with information extracted from the ACE portal, to facilitate internal review and auditing of entriesRun ad hoc reports on requestUpdate training materials related to the export control screening tool, and provide training for new usersManage user access requestsCreate custom reports at the request of OpCosConsult on OpCo "Know Your Customer" (KYC) documentation from time to time, and assist in training OpCo personnel in KYC functions and requirementsReview audit reports, identify key findings and trends, support remedial actions, and track such actions to completionAssist with monitoring of applicable regulations and help assess the potential changes needed to the program to meet new requirementsReview OpCo monitoring programs, identify potential gaps, and advise on improvementsReview OpCo internal trade policies and SOPs and advise on changes to ensure processes that adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and standardsDevelop and deliver an ongoing, tailored training program for OpCo personnel that includes import and export regulations, trade compliance best practices, risk identification, and escalationManage trade compliance tools and resources on shared website for access by all OpCosInterface with trade compliance tool suppliers to make sure that tools are used correctly and efficiently, and that relevant updates from the vendor are available and implemented in a timely mannerWork with UK operating locations to consolidate and review customs data on imports and exportsQualifications / Requirements/Desired Characteristics: Prior experience with U.S. customs and trade compliance is required; exposure to customs brokerage practices is a plus Bachelor's degree with minimum of 5 years' professional experience Ability to move projects forward by gaining support from others and to work collaboratively with cross-functional groups to set objectives, drive progress, and produce meaningful results Demonstrated familiarity and expertise with ACE Portal, PowerBI, and Descartes Visual Compliance or a similar global export control screening tool Organized and accurate with excellent attention to detail and a results-driven client service orientation Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work well with non-US location personnel and management Demonstrates good judgment, integrity, and an understanding of general business values and ethics, and exercises a professional demeanorPay Range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
