As a Sr. Actuarial Analyst the ideal candidate will project manage and support system enhancements from beginning to end; collaborating with business partners, planning and documenting project technical steps, and moving the improvements through the testing, documentation, and rollout stages. They will also make use of their technical skills and attention to detail in the coordination and implementation of rating changes to our production environment.In addition to supporting the medical line of business, approximately 20% of the role will serve as a backup resource for Dental Rating Systems Support. This includes support of dental model updates and end-to-end management of ERNIE enhancement activities, including intake, requirements documentation, cross-functional collaboration, testing, implementation, training, and communication.Actuarial Responsibilities Include:Defining specifications and documentation for rating methodology changesTesting and sign-off for ERNIE system enhancementsCreating exhibits to demonstrate rating method results for regulatory/underwriting inquiriesInvestigating historical pricing practices across national commercial large group businessAssessing claim impact of benefit relativity changesTechnical Responsibilities Include:Implementation of commercial actuarial rate reviews in ERNIETier 2 technical support for underwriting/actuarial rating issuesProcess improvement via SQL, Excel/VBA and AI toolsRequired Qualifications:2 actuarial exams passed and pursuing ASA designation2+ years actuarial work experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with complex data and technical systemsAbility to analyze data, investigate issues, and determine root causes in a business or systems environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with SQLExperience working with large datasets and performing data analysisEducation:Bachelor's DegreeAnticipated Weekly Hours: 40Time Type: Full timePay Range: $64,890.00 - $158,620.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
