Cash Applications Specialist

Our client, a Northwest Houston area oilfield services company, is hiring for a Cash Applications Specialist on a direct hire basis. This position is for a large organization with a lot of opportunity for growth and advancement. This role is 100% in office. Job Duties Perform general cash applications/posting to ensure same day clearing and posting of all lockbox and ACH payments Manages exception tasks for payments requiring manual application Process credit card requests sent by the field or customer after invoicing Reconcile bank transaction report with customer's account based on received remittance and deposit detail information Perform daily scan deposit of all checks not sent to lockbox and work with customer to update banking information Work directly with customer and credit analyst to research and resolve unapplied or unidentified payments Serves as backup to Sr. Cash Specialist for all approved adjustments to customer accounts Monitors team queue and processes adjustments, refunds, and general item offset requests Requirements 3+ years of equivalent experience in cash applications role Experience with payment posting and adjustment process in various ERP systems Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups/pivot tables/power queries) Intermediate understanding of account reconciliations and daily posting tie outs Direct experience with High Radius or other cash posting cloud automation tools is preferred but not required Salary range $55-60K depending upon experience.
