CNA Certified Nursing Assistant

Little Falls Health Services is a 32 bed skilled nursing facility. We are currently in the process of constructing another 32 resident rooms and then will be a 64 bed facility. Job Description Care for skilled nursing residents under the direction of the nursing staff by performing the following duties: Answer call lights, bells or intercom system promptly to determine the resident’s needs. Bathe, dress, undress, toilet, groom and perform oral care for residents. Serve and collect food trays, feed residents that require help and pass nourishment. Transport residents and assist residents to walk using transfer belt. Turn and reposition bedfast residents alone or with assistance to prevent bedsores or contractures, or for comfort. Change bed linens, run errands and direct visitors. Takes and records temperatures, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, food and fluid intakes and output as directed. Assemble and use such equipment as hydraulic lift, Hoyer lift, weight scales and other equipment as needed for resident care. Sanitize equipment. Tidy up rooms, put resident clothes and linens in their proper places. Attend in‑services regularly. Document as required. Report resident change to wing nurse. Understand and follow the vulnerable adult and abuse policy and reporting procedure. Provide privacy for residents during personal cares and when desired by the resident. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: To perform the job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Less than high school education; up to one month job related experiences or training; or, equivalent combinations of education and experience.
