ASCP Certified Phlebotomy Technician - Night Shift

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Phlebotomy Technician responsible for collecting specimens used in diagnostic testing, transfusions, and research. This role requires careful handling and disposal of biohazardous materials, ensuring specimens are processed and delivered accurately to laboratory sections. You will maintain phlebotomy stations, restock supplies, and uphold cleanliness standards while serving patients ranging from newborns to the elderly.

Education: A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Experience: One year of related experience or training is preferred but not mandatory.

Licenses and Certifications: Candidates must obtain a current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation. Passing a color blindness test prior to starting is also required. Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) through ASCP is preferred.

Skills and Abilities: Basic computer and math skills are necessary, along with strong communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, healthcare team members, and external partners.

Physical Requirements: This position involves light work, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds and frequently up to 10 pounds. Standing or walking may be required for 11-25% of the workday. Accommodations can be made as needed.
