Penn Medicine has teams of experts who conduct neurodiagnostic assessments, like EEGs. Were also part of many research studies that shape clinical practice, including trials looking for noninvasive ways to map the brain. Because abnormal EEG patterns can be subtle, the combination of our extensive expertise and leading technology means we can provide an accurate and precise diagnosis that guides your treatment plan.

Schedule Requirements:

• Day, evening, or night shifts
• Cover on-call and holiday rotation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Under a physician's direction and in accordance with the laboratory guidelines, the PRN Technologist:

• Performs adult/neonatal routine and continuous EEG studies.
• Can monitor and/or review EEG data of continuous EEG and ambulatory EEG.
• Communicates urgent findings immediately with Epilepsy physicians.
• Accurately completes EEG reports and EEG billing.

What We Require for this Role:

Education/Related Work Experience:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Completion of an accredited EEG school program OR 3+ years of prior EEG work experience required.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Must achieve registry in EEG within 2 years of hire.
• Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG T.) preferred.
