Experienced Meat Cutter/Butcher

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling, meat cutting, and food preparation, with a focus on delivering high-quality products to our customers. This role involves precise knife skills, adherence to food safety standards, and excellent customer service. The Meat Cutter will play a vital role in ensuring the freshness, safety, and presentation of our meat products while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Duties

• Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specified standards and customer orders
• Package meat products securely for retail or wholesale distribution
• Ensure all meat handling complies with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and rotating stock
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment in accordance with health regulations
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering product recommendations when needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and product quality throughout the production process

Experience

• Previous experience in food production or food preparation is preferred
• Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cutting techniques are essential
• Experience in the food industry, especially in meat cutting or food handling roles, is highly desirable
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation standards is required
• Restaurant experience or work within the food industry will be considered a plus
