Property Accountant (Hybrid - Austin, TX)

Job Details Hybrid work environment: 3 days in-office, 2 remote days. Austin‑area candidates only. This is not a fully remote position. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post general ledger journal entries Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes Review and analyze financial statements Record daily financial transactions and maintain supporting documentation Manage accruals, prepaid expenses, and other recurring accounting activities Assist with variance analysis and account research Support operational and property management teams with accounting‑related questions Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting Qualifications 1–4 years of accounting experience preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred Strong Excel and analytical skills required Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment Property management or real estate accounting experience is a plus Experience with RealPage, Yardi, or similar accounting software is a plus What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Hybrid work flexibility Medical and dental insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) plan Professional development and growth opportunities Collaborative and supportive team environment Background Checks If an offer of employment is made and accepted, continued employment will be contingent upon the satisfactory results of a thorough Criminal History Record Check(s).
