Counselor WES/CES Bertie County Schools Windsor Elementary – Windsor, North Carolina Job Details Job ID: 3943284 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Re-Posted: May 09, 2025 1:04 PM (UTC) Job Description Job Title: Guidance Counselor Department: School/Student Services Grade: State Salary Scale FLSA: Exempt Reports To: Principal Supervises: None Receives Direction From: Director of Student Services Terms of Employment: 10 months Qualifications: Masters Level School Counselor License Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides direct services through the Guidance Curriculum, Individual Student Planning and Preventive and Responsive Services Provides program management, system support and accountability Establishes the school counseling program and develops activities and resources to implement and evaluate the program Involves other school staff in making decisions about the school counseling program Provides individual and group counseling services to meet the developmental, preventive and remedial needs of students Consults with students, parents, teachers and other school and community personnel to assist in meeting the needs of students Coordinates all counseling services for students and assists with the coordination and implementation of student services in the school Assists teachers with the Guidance Curriculum Accurately interprets test results and other student data Assists teachers with the educational placement of students by using appropriate educational assessment strategies Adheres to ethical standards of the counseling profession and abides by the laws, policies and procedures that govern schools Participates in professional associations and upgrades professional knowledge of skills when needed Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor Physical and Cognitive Requirements Work in this classification is considered light physical work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
