RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift: 4x10 hours (07:30 - 18:00), with some early shifts starting at 06:30. One designated late shift each week.

The Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse plays a critical role in providing high-quality care in the cardiac catheterization lab. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures while ensuring high standards of safety and infection control.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures.
• Monitor and manage patients' hemodynamics during procedures.
• Administer medications and assist with procedural sedation.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Maintain high levels of infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Prepare and handle required equipment and instruments in the Cath Lab.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or similar settings.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations.
• Knowledge of cardiac medications and emergency protocols.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
