Staff Nurse II, Labor and Delivery

Position Overview The primary role of the Staff II RN is to coordinate the delivery of care for the patient population they serve from admission through discharge. Included in this delivery of care are all aspects of the physical, psychosocial, safety and educational needs of the patient and their family/support system. This function is performed in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including but not limited to nursing peers, attending physicians and ancillary support services. The staff RN uses the nursing process, medical therapeutics, technology and personal interventions to accomplish this. Job Description Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Required BSN Preferred Department Specific Experience 1 year of previous clinical experience in L&D at an acute care facility. Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse - CA State Licensure - RN Required Basic Life Support Certification - BLS Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS Required Neonatal Resuscitation Provider - NRP Required Advanced Fetal Monitoring - AFM Required Skills and Knowledge Ability to make fine discrimination in sound Ability to work with bodily fluids and substances Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances Handles emergency or crisis situations Subject to varying and unpredictable situations OSHA Risk Category I (High Risk) Assist with lifting, supporting, maneuvering, and adjusting the position of patients weighing over 200 pounds. Pay Range is $73.66 to $99.67 / hour The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.
