Optum NV is seeking a Family Practice Physician to join their team in Las Vegas, NV. Practice Info Work with other physicians in teams but manage your own panel of patients. The patient population is an adult panel of all ages including geriatrics and some older adolescents, customizable for interest areas. Seniors have the convenience of new Lifestyle Centers. Work in attractive/modern buildings and enjoy an electronic medical record environment. Full-time management staff, digital radiology, and onsite laboratory services are available at 14 clinic locations throughout the Las Vegas area. This is an employed practice position with Southwest Medical, offering patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective. Responsibilities Manage your own panel of patients. Provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of health. Work with professionalism, demonstrating a commitment to professional responsibilities, adherence to ethical principles, and sensitivity to a diverse patient population. Demonstrate an awareness of and responsiveness to the larger context and system of health care. Effectively call on system resources to provide care that is of optimal value. Requirements Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Residency trained, board certified or board eligible. Ability to obtain Nevada license, DEA, Pharmacy license. Medical knowledge about established and evolving biomedical, clinical, epidemiological and social behavioral sciences and application of this knowledge to patient care. Interpersonal and communication skills that result in effective information exchange and collaboration with patients, their families and other health professionals. Possession of or acquisition of sufficient computer skills to effectively utilize Electronic Medical Records in their practice. Practice-based learning and improvement that involves investigation and evaluation of their own patient care, appraisal and assimilation of scientific evidence and improvements in patient care.
