• You'll develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001/14001, GMP, FDA, and EMA requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• You'll conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and site safety audits focused on chemical handling, cleanrooms, process equipment, waste management, and ergonomic risks.
• You'll lead incident investigations for accidents, near misses, spills, and exposures, determining root causes and driving corrective and preventive actions.
• You'll coordinate emergency preparedness programs, response planning, and drills for fire, spill, contamination, and other site emergencies while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• You'll deliver HSE training on PPE, LOTO, chemical hygiene, cleanroom protocols, environmental regulations, and safety best practices.
• You'll partner with engineering, operations, quality, and maintenance teams to embed HSE controls into facility design, capital projects, and day-to-day operations.
• You'll manage environmental compliance programs related to emissions, hazardous waste, wastewater treatment, air and water permits, and sustainability initiatives.
• You'll monitor HSE performance through KPIs, trend analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen site safety culture.
• You'll serve as the site HSE representative during GMP, FDA, ISO, EPA, and internal audits, ensuring inspection readiness and timely resolution of findings.
• You'll provide leadership, coaching, and stakeholder engagement to promote proactive safety behaviors, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the organization.
• Onsite at client site : The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of HSE experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in life sciences/pharma environments

• Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of HSE experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in life sciences/pharma environments
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or similar
• Experience managing environmental programs (ETP, air and water compliance) and sustainability projects
• Familiarity with cleanroom standards, chemical hygiene plans, and LOTO procedures
• Experience with site-wide audits and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001/14001, GMP, FDA, and EMA regulations
• Proven experience with risk assessments, incident investigation protocols, and emergency response planning
• Excellent communication and training skills; ability to engage at all organizational levels
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS systems

$130,000 - $150,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
