Field Specialist I

As a Field Specialist I in Ricoh's Advanced CIP division, you'll play a key role in supporting customers, improving their day-to-day operations, and ensuring they get the most value from Ricoh's products and services. This position combines hands-on work, problem-solving, customer engagement, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities Customer Support & Service

• Set up, maintain, and service Ricoh equipment and solutions in customer environments.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and ensure equipment is running smoothly.
• Provide guidance to customers on how to use and get the most from their Ricoh products.
• Spot opportunities to improve customer workflows or expand the use of Ricoh services.

Customer Relationship Building

• Act as a trusted partner to customers, understanding their needs and helping them plan ahead.
• Manage your daily schedule while coordinating with teammates as needed.
• Build strong, professional relationships with both customers and Ricoh colleagues.

Operational Excellence

• Complete service visits efficiently using Ricoh's internal systems.
• Deliver on-site training, observe customer processes, and recommend improvements.
• Meet performance goals related to response times, quality of work, and cost management.
• Keep accurate records, reports, and documentation.
• Maintain assigned inventory, whether in a vehicle or on customer premises.

Professional Contribution

• Achieve productivity expectations based on experience and workload.
• Participate in Ricoh's value-added programs and ensure accurate billing.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and auto insurance (for roles requiring travel).
• High school diploma required. Experience or coursework in mechanical, electrical, or equipment-related fields is helpful.
• Ability to meet certification requirements outlined in Ricoh's training program.

Working Conditions

• Occasional overnight travel.
• Physical activity including lifting up to 50 lbs, moving wheeled equipment up to 400 lbs, and regular bending or kneeling.
• May include shift work, overtime, or on-call responsibilities.
• Periodic stress due to deadlines, service volume, and customer needs.
