Essential Job Functions Delivery and coordination of quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs; report changes to supervisor or physician as appropriate. Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care in a timely manner whenever care is delivered. Participate, implement and update the nursing care plan. Takes appropriate nursing actions based on assessment and achieves expected outcomes. Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent or reduce risk. Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with policies, regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act. Provide care using infection control measures that protect staff and the patient according to OSHA standards. Educate patient and family regarding disease process, self‑care techniques and prevention strategies. Maintain knowledge of competencies related to nursing profession by participating in educational programs, ongoing education units, and internal learning management. Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice. Current CPR certification. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures. Additional State Specific Requirements South Carolina – One year of pediatric experience. California – One year of experience working under current nursing license. Louisiana – One year of experience working as a licensed nurse. Continuing Education as required by state. Preferences Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting. Home health experience. Other Skills/Abilities Attention to detail. Time management. Effective problem‑solving and conflict resolution. Good organization and communication skills. Physical Requirements Speak, write, read and understand English. Ability to travel. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to reposition patients and move equipment without assistance. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting. Ability to sit and climb stairs. Visual and hearing acuity. Strong sense of smell and touch. Ability to respond physically and mentally to emergency situations. Environment Ability to function in varied environments with exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases.
