Key Responsibilities\n

  • Perform thorough assessments to understand each client's unique mental health and substance use challenges, accurately identifying instances of co-occurring disorders.

  • Collaborate directly with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that encompass evidence-based therapeutic interventions adjusted to meet their individual needs.

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing clients' emotional resilience, developing effective coping mechanisms, and implementing preventative strategies against relapse.

  • Engage in regular coordination of care with a multidisciplinary team, monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as clients advance in their recovery journeys.

  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques and conduct consistent substance use monitoring to actively support clients, enhancing their commitment to recovery.

  • Educate clients and their families regarding the relationship between mental health conditions and substance use disorders, reinforcing the critical importance of ongoing treatment compliance.

  • Ensure meticulous documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and referrals while adhering strictly to ethical and legal standards.

  • Participate in case reviews, training sessions, and team meetings to continually enhance your expertise in treating co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This diverse population often faces complex challenges that require comprehensive and integrated treatment strategies. Your responsibilities will involve not only addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma but also tackling substance use concerns, thus providing a whole-person treatment approach essential for effective recovery.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, specifically for co-occurring disorders including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Compensation and Benefits\n
