Shipping Clerk 1st Shift

Position Overview:

A growing manufacturing company in Edinburgh, IN is seeking a Shipping Clerk to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. This role is responsible for preparing, documenting, and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accurate, timely delivery of finished products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments in accordance with company procedures and carrier requirements
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by reviewing orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation
• Coordinate with freight carriers and schedule shipments, including larger or time-sensitive loads
• Maintain accurate shipment, delivery, and inventory records using scanning equipment and computer systems
• Communicate effectively with warehouse, production, customer service, and receiving teams to ensure smooth workflow
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing environments preferred
• Ability to regularly lift and move packages up to 50 lbs
• Basic math, computer, and organizational skills
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and label printers is a plus
• Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory, or warehouse management systems
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment

Schedule & Work Environment

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
• Full-time, on-site position in a clean, safety-focused manufacturing facility
