Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, CVICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Patient ratio of 1:2. 91-day assignment with 36 hours of orientation.

Highlights:

• Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) position in a dynamic critical care environment
• 10-bed unit with average daily census of 7 patients, providing focused critical care
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with complex cardiac conditions including post-cardiac surgery patients
• Advanced critical care experience with ECMO, IABP, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, ECMO, IABP, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, continuous IV sedation, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Charge experience, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
