Nurse Resident - Specialty Rotation Program

Deliver individualized, quality nursing care to cancer patients and families according to hospital guidelines, nursing practice standards, policies, ANA ethics, and regulatory requirements Embody Moffitt Nursing’s vision, mission, and philosophy while providing personalized, patient- and family-centered care Use the nursing process to plan and manage quality patient care Address biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge-planning needs Maintain timely baseline and comparative documentation with age-appropriate care considerations Complete structured rotations across designated inpatient critical care units during the first year Participate in required class activities during paid education days Attend department-specific orientation lasting 12 or 16 weeks Participate in scheduled informal one-on-one meetings for support and progress monitoring Evaluate individual progress and the overall residency program Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing required Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida, or valid multi-state privilege to practice in Florida If licensed in another eNLC compact state with multi-state privileges, must declare Florida as primary state of residence within 30 days of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) Must obtain ACLS within 18 months from date of hire Must be licensed and able to complete onboarding by the cohort start date Commitment to work a minimum of two years in the Cancer Center as a Registered Nurse in good working standards and in compliance with Cancer Center policies and protocols Completion of a two-year employment agreement Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in delivering individualized nursing care to cancer patients, adhering to regulatory requirements and nursing standards. Proficient in patient assessment, care planning, and documentation while embodying patient- and family-centered care principles.
