Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Block Schedule Required | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care/Step-Down unit setting within a Short-Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4
• Document patient care and clinical information using Epic EMR
• Float between units or sister facilities nearby as needed per assignment requirements
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete required onboarding modules prior to and during orientation as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of PCU/Step-Down or relevant RN experience required
• Must commit to a block schedule; all RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted at a different rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Epic EMR charting
• Experience in a Level III Trauma Center or similar acute care environment
• Familiarity with progressive care or step-down patient populations
