RN Emergency Room - Night Shift with House Supervisor Responsibilities

Schedule

Night Shift: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Nights from 1900 to 0730

Job Description

The RN in the Emergency Room provides patient care in an emergency setting, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include safe and rapid triage and effective communication with physicians regarding patient status. The RN must be willing to cross-train in other nursing departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care efficiently in an emergency setting.
• Triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with physicians about patient status.
• Cross-train in other nursing departments as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current California RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• 2+ years recent Emergency Room experience preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (T-System and CPSI).
• Must pass nursing medication test.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills are required.
