As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time_Clearance Required in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate $23.85 / Hour Job Schedule Friday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a front desk location within an aerospace and defense environment. Monitor lobby and entry activity, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor check‑in processes, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with site protocols. Answer questions, provide directions, receive and document reports of unusual activity, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner. Support access control and front desk communications by maintaining required logs, issuing visitor instructions, and communicating with site contacts regarding arrivals, deliveries, and/or security‑related concerns. Minimum Requirements An active DoD Secret Clearance is required. Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
