A respected and expanding law firm is seeking an experienced Counsel-level attorney to join its Affordable Housing and Real Estate practice. This position can be based in either Buffalo or New York City and offers the opportunity to work on impactful, complex affordable housing and community development transactions.

The successful candidate will have significant experience advising developers, lenders, investors, or public sector entities on affordable housing matters, including transactions involving LIHTC financing, tax-exempt bonds, HUD programs, and layered financing structures. Candidates with broader commercial real estate transactional experience alongside affordable housing expertise are also encouraged to apply.

This is a senior-level role offering substantial autonomy, direct client interaction, and involvement in sophisticated transactions that have meaningful community impact. Key Requirements:

• 7+ years of transactional affordable housing experience
• Strong knowledge of LIHTC and affordable housing finance structures
• Experience with acquisition, development, financing, and regulatory matters
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions and client relationships
• New York Bar admission required
