Equanime - Research Coordinator

BWGI, the wholly owned asset manager of Brasil Warrant, has formed the Equity Multi-Strategy Platform as an additional investment vertical. The Equity Multi-Strategy Platform expects to hire portfolio managers across fundamental, systematic, flow-based and event-driven equity alpha strategies. Brasil Warrant has been in existence for over 100 years, managing, operating and acting as a controlling shareholder of businesses across various industries, including financial services. BWGI provides the infrastructure, processes and capital of a large-scale institutional asset manager while, at the same time, offering duration, permanence and a long-term investment horizon. Key Responsibilities Broker Relationship Management: Serve as a central point of contact for broker communications research access, commission management, and corporate access. Onboarding & Due Diligence: Coordinate onboarding of new brokers and maintain documentation. Work with compliance, technology, risk and operations. Commission Oversight: Assist the trading desk in tracking trading volumes and commission metrics by broker and strategy; support the trading desk’s goal of optimal broker allocation aligned with best execution and broker alignment objectives. Corporate Access & Research Coordination: Liaise with brokers to secure management access, roadshows, conferences, and research meetings for investment teams. Analytics & Reporting: Generate reports on broker performance, commission analytics, and internal utilization trends for senior management review. Manage the equity strategy’s contribution to a firmwide broker vote. Data Vendors: Work with the Head of Data to support the Portfolio Manager’s research efforts by researching and onboarding new data sets. PM Engagement: Assist the PMs in sourcing what they need from BW and external counterparties Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. 5-10 years of experience in a trading, capital markets, or broker relations role, ideally at a hedge fund, asset manager, or sell-side firm. Strong Excel and data analysis skills; experience with Tableau or other reporting tools. Python skills a plus but not mandatory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive and client-service oriented mindset. Sterling reputation with the sell side and other counterparties.
