Surgical Technologist – Surgical Services

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM | On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub into a high-volume OR environment supporting 6 rooms and 15–20 cases per day, with a heavy orthopedic focus
• Assist with a broad range of surgical procedures including general surgery, endoscopic procedures, and orthopedic cases
• Participate in holiday and weekend call (approximately 5–6 call shifts per month); call is self-sign-up
• Assist with precepting and orienting new staff and fellow travelers as expected of all travel staff
• Utilize self-scheduling system balanced by the OR lead; be available to float as needed
• Document and chart accurately using EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience required
• Experience in both a Teaching Hospital and Community Hospital setting required
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated experience with general surgery, endoscopic procedures, and orthopedics — candidates must be comfortable with ortho cases
• EPIC charting experience required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Labor & Delivery, gynecology, or plastics
• Background in podiatry, robotics, or urology
• Familiarity with high-acuity, complex patient populations
