Mesilla Valley Transportation is now hiring a Fleet Manager in El Paso, TX!/strong/p pbr / ThestrongFleet Manager/strongis responsible for supervising drivers engaged in operating trucks and trailers. This position will be based in El Paso, TX and will report to work at the terminal daily./p p/p pPay: $50,000 per year Salary plus monthly bonus potential based on individual KPIs (key performance indicators)/p pbr / strongResponsibilities:/strong/p ul liManages a fleet of about 30 truck drivers remotely/li liDrives employees to high performance expectations, such as efficiency (improved miles per gallon), professionalism, on-time deliveries/li liAnalyzes and monitors the work quality, safety quality, attendance/punctuality, and behavior of drivers, and disciplines when necessary./li liAvailable for escalations and questions, as well as knowledgeable on available resources and connections./li liAssigns drivers to units and maintains truck/trailer performance by increasing truck miles to improve profitability./li liMonitors satellite communication to determine hours of driver service and to resolve driver log issues./li liAnalyzes and monitors the work quality, safety quality, attendance/punctuality, and behavior of drivers, and disciplines when necessary./li liControls expenses such as layover/motel reimbursement and unloading/advances./li liImproves fuel efficiency by limiting idle time and enforcing drivers to utilize the MVT partner truck stops when fueling trucks/trailers./li /ul pstrongQualifications:/strong/p ul liHigh School Diploma or equivalent (Required)./li liSupervisory experience of 15+ employees (at least 1 year)./li liProficient communicator in both English and Spanish language. (Preferred)/li liStrong knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography./li liProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software./li /ul pMesilla Valley Transportation began in 1982 as a small independent fleet in the Southwest.
