Job Description:The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality of all products produced meet agreed upon standards and expectations.This job description lists major areas of responsibility and additional job activities may be added at any time.Hours for this position are Sunday through Friday 11pm-7amDuties and ResponsibilitiesUse a variety of quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hardness testing, UPC scanners, paint thickness testers and other lab equipmentOperat e CMM and Vision System Inspection equipmentComplete Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR’s) daily, as neededEnsure packaging requirements are met by completing daily packaging conformance auditsComplete dimensional inspections of incoming raw materialAbility to navigate document repository web page to locate inspection reports, blue prints and other quality documentsDevelop and maintain effective working relationships within team environmentPerform basic shop floor math, such as fraction to decimal conversion, arithmetic and units of measure conversionProblem solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage interruptions is requiredConsciously abide by all safety policies and procedures to cr eate a safe working environmentEduca tion and ExperienceHigh School or GED diploma requiredOne (1) year of previous quality technician experience requiredUnderstanding of metrology fundamentalsBasic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OutlookE xcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as a part of a teamAbility to read blueprintsPhysical and Weight Lifting DemandsThe physical and weight lifting demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job .
