What You’ll Do

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for the Hand Surgery service.
• Respond to emergency department calls involving hand injuries.
• Respond to transfer center calls related to Hand Surgery needs.
• Evaluate and manage adult and geriatric patients requiring Hand Surgery consultation.
• Support care coordination and transfer decisions for appropriate hand injury cases.
• Provide inpatient and emergency consultation within a Level I trauma setting.
• Document patient care using the Epic electronic medical record.

What You Need

Required

• Completion of a Hand Surgery fellowship.
• Active Colorado medical license or active IMLC eligibility.
• Ability to provide 24-hour call coverage from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day.
• Ability to complete required credentialing and electronic medical record training before the first scheduled shift.

Preferred

• Prior experience providing Hand Surgery coverage in an inpatient, emergency department, or trauma setting.
• Experience using the Epic electronic medical record.
