Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT)
Location: Weston, West Virginia
Position Type: Temporary Contract Assignment
Contract Length: 16-Week Service Agreement
Openings: Twenty-Five (25) CNA/PCT Positions

Position Summary

Seeking twenty-five (25) qualified Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and/or Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) for a 16-week service agreement in Weston, West Virginia. Candidates should possess strong patient care skills, maintain professional standards, and be committed to providing compassionate care in a psychiatric and/or long-term care environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted CNA certification or applicable credential required for practice in West Virginia.
• Minimum of one (1) year of patient care experience.
• Certification/license must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions, restrictions, suspensions, or pending sanctions.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current First Aid certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, mental health, or long-term care settings.
• Knowledge of caring for patients with psychiatric, developmental, or chronic healthcare needs.
• Experience working in secure healthcare environments.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Monitor and report changes in patient behavior, condition, and safety concerns to nursing staff.
• Obtain and record vital signs and other patient care data as assigned.
• Assist nursing staff with patient observation, transportation, and therapeutic activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Support a safe, clean, and therapeutic patient care environment.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality requirements.

Work Schedule Requirements

• Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain consistent attendance.
• Must be available to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts as scheduled.
• Must be willing to accept mandated shifts when required to meet facility staffing needs and State of West Virginia requirements.

Compliance Requirements

• Must comply with all State of West Virginia regulations and requirements.
• Must adhere to all Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR), Department of Health Facilities (DHF), Office of Shared Administration (OSA), and policies and procedures.
• Must comply with all facility dress code requirements and professional appearance standards.
• Must successfully complete all required credentialing, orientation, background checks, and onboarding requirements.
