Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides supportive care to patients under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, implementing treatment plans through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and gait training. Monitors patient progress and documents treatment outcomes accurately to assist in ongoing care planning.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in delivering therapeutic interventions to meet patient treatment goals.
• Conduct exercise routines, massage, and balance training as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Monitor and record patient responses and progress throughout treatment sessions.
• Communicate patient status and treatment results to the physical therapist for evaluation.
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment in compliance with clinical standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Hold a valid Texas or Compact state license in Physical Therapy Assisting.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques, exercises, and patient safety protocols.
• Exhibit effective communication and documentation skills.
• Be capable of working collaboratively within healthcare teams to provide patient-centered care.
