Legal Program Manager

We are looking for a talented Project Manager to join our team. This role supports high-priority X-Legal programs and initiatives, including tracking and reporting on legal matter budgets, governing documentation and file structure, and providing recurring status updates to Legal leadership. The successful contractor will partner with internal Legal teams, Outside Counsel (OC), and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain program continuity, manage and analyze data, keep documentation current, and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met without disruption during the coverage period.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update program documentation, trackers, and workback plans.
• Track actuals versus budget, collect bottom-up estimates, and support recurring budget and actuals reporting.
• Prepare and distribute recurring status updates, meeting agendas, and action item tracking.
• Coordinate with Outside Counsel and internal stakeholders to track and maintain financial data.
• Partner with XFN stakeholders to keep workstream dependencies and deadlines visible.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of project or program management experience, with at least 2 years supporting a legal function (in-house legal department or law firm).
• Demonstrated ownership of budget tracking and reporting, actuals versus budget, bottom-up estimates, and variance reporting.
• Experience building and maintaining program documentation, trackers, and workback plans for multiple concurrent workstreams, including direct stakeholder coordination.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with litigation and complex litigation structures.
• Experience coordinating with Outside Counsel and familiarity with fee arrangements.
• Comfort with AI-enabled productivity tooling and document/workflow automation.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.
• Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
• Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
• Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
