MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST UROLOGY

Medical Receptionist The Medical Receptionist provides customer service and clerical support within a fast paced department. A certification in Clinical Medical Assisting for the purpose of order entries is preferred. Schedules and relays information to patients for laboratory tests, medical examination, and consultations Informs patients of costs of care being provided, and guides them to appropriate resources for further information, guidance, or assistance. May assist in patient and family education by providing educational material and general health information to patients and family members. Answers telephones, screens callers, and relays messages. Maintains calendar and schedules return appointments. Electronic access to email, HER, calendars, and other basic office support software. Uses automated systems to access, enter, and edit patient information. Other duties as assigned/necessary.
