Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the frequency, severity, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, employing standardized assessment tools and structured interviews.

  • Work collaboratively with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, aspirations, and circumstances, while promoting autonomy and self-efficacy.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders, incorporating the latest research and practical approaches.

  • Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to facilitate understanding and engagement in the treatment process.

  • Monitor client progress through regular follow-up sessions and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring the most effective approach is taken to meet evolving needs.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Active licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

  • Proficient in evidence-based treatment modalities specific to mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

  • Strong familiarity with psychopharmacology and experience collaborating with medication prescribers.

  • Annual salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
