Advanced Nurse Clinician/Nurse Educator, Per Diem

Run Clinical Orientation and Nurse Residency Program sessions Work with a team of 3-5 Professional Development Specialists Support programming across all hospital divisions and the Berlin simulation center, with locations varying based on programming Interpret clinical, technical, and patient data to improve clinical quality and patient outcomes Coordinate and direct interdisciplinary health teams in implementing standardized patient-care approaches Direct patient discharge processes, including education, disposition, and timeliness Redesign care modalities for patient/disease management and resolve clinical quality issues Communicate committee practice changes and ensure implementation of new policies, procedures, equipment, and forms Evaluate initial nursing skills through observation, chart review, and discussion Oversee learning and orientation, address education and competency shortfalls, and develop organizational preceptors Develop and implement the department learning environment Evaluate case studies, rounds, and research; develop education to introduce standards of care Implement evidence-based best practices across the system Provide real-time counseling and coaching to the interdisciplinary team Assess staff competency and subsequent education plans Requirements Masters prepared registered nurse or near completion of advanced degree A minimum of 2 to 5 years recent clinical experience in specialty area, preferably at advanced level Possess certification relative to specialty BLS minimum requirement ACLS required for critical care, labor and delivery, and emergency department NALS required for neonatal areas PALS required for areas with children: Pediatrics and emergency department Possess or eligible for Advanced Practice License in State of New Jersey Must show evidence of maintaining knowledge and skills through continuing education and independent study Must be available for day shift commitments No weekend or holiday requirements Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in clinical education and program development, with a focus on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.
