Overview Piedmont Macon Medical is a 310-bed facility providing 24-hour emergency rooms, inpatient and outpatient surgery options, maternity services and heart care. Additionally, the hospital has rehabilitation programs, oncology services, and behavioral health offerings. Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Director of Cardiac Services, the incumbent performs duties involving direct patient care and operation of highly sophisticated radiographic and computer equipment in the interventional cardiac catheterization laboratory. The Technologist will assist the Cardiologist and/or Interventional Cardiologist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The Technologist must possess a general knowledge of infection control guidelines, universal precautions, sterile procedures, and must work cohesively with a team. Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program Required Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Required Work Experience 2 years of experience in clinical cardiology or critical care experience in ED or ICU Required Licenses and Certifications BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required ACLS Upon Hire Required RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure GA RN license if applicable Upon Hire Required RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Preferred Business Unit Piedmont Macon Medical #J-18808-Ljbffr
