Talent Acquisition Specialist

Summary :


The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the talent acquisition efforts for multiple subsidiaries within a defined region. Working closely with General Managers (GMs), this individual will drive recruitment initiatives to meet the staffing needs of each location in alignment with company's revenue and projected growth expectations. This position requires a strategic, proactive approach to recruitment and can manage multiple priorities and building effective, supportive relationships with hiring teams.



Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

• Proactively develop a strong talent pipeline for both current and future job opportunities within an assigned territory. Build and nurture relationships with passive candidates ahead of openings to ensure a seamless hiring process.
• Routinely screen, evaluate, and submit candidates for all open positions across the assigned region. Coordinate interview schedules for qualified candidates and gather timely feedback from hiring managers.
• For each position requisition, manage the onboarding process, including extending offers, drafting offer letters, conducting background checks, and establish dates of hire.
• Ensure all candidates are accurately processed through ClearCompany and Checkr, from initial screening through dispositioning.
• Work collaboratively with the field Human Resources practitioners to best prepare to transition the candidate to becoming a new employee, including preparing for orientation and initial training.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all hiring managers and leaders in the assigned region. Organize and lead weekly recruiting meetings with hiring manager and field HR teammates to provide updates on recruitment efforts, candidate status, and future hiring needs. Establish and foster effective working relationships with hiring teams to understand their needs and deliver qualified candidates.
• Engage with stakeholders at expected acquisitions during the due diligence process in order to best prepare for immediate and future needs upon closing of the transaction, providing support beginning during the integration process.
• Track and analyze key recruitment metrics, such as source of hire, time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and turnover rates, to optimize hiring strategies. Leverage AI and automation tools for efficient candidate sourcing and screening.
• Assist in the communication and administration of an Employee Referral Program that encourages and rewards high-quality candidate referrals. Responsible for tracking referral sources on all candidates.
• Utilize recruitment tools to improve accessibility and engagement with candidates, overseeing the entire candidate journey, from application to interviews and ongoing communication. Ensure clear communication and timely feedback at every stage of the candidate experience.
• Utilize the ATS platform and integrate AI-driven automation to enhance the hiring process. Leverage AI-powered tools for resume screening and chat functionality for candidate engagement and communication. Utilize techniques, tools and resources to recruitment with automated interview scheduling, follow-ups, and AI-assisted video interview analysis.
• Leverage targeted job ads on LinkedIn, Facebook, and industry-specific platforms to attract candidates. Showcase employee success stories and workplace culture to enhance employer branding. Optimize job postings with SEO strategies to expand reach and visibility.
• Manage and nurture external partnerships with vocational technical (trade) schools, colleges, job boards, and vendors to enhance talent acquisition efforts. Oversee relationships with external recruiting agencies and vendors as needed to optimize hiring strategies.
• Organize, host, and actively participate in recruitment events to enhance brand awareness and attract qualified candidates. Develop and participate in strategic event initiatives, including job fairs, networking sessions, and industry conferences, to engage potential candidates and strengthen the company's presence in the job market.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and industry best practices while maintaining ethical and inclusive hiring standards. Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations in talent acquisition to continuously enhance recruitment strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution or the equivalent of relevant experience in the talent acquisition discipline.
• A minimum of five years of experience in talent acquisition, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective recruitment and sourcing strategies to attract niche talent for a variety of positions. Preference for this role will be for a focus on multi-site and/or multi-state regions within the home services industry (or a related field/trade).
• Comfortable working in a highly self-directed manner, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent time management skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing full cycle recruiting initiatives. Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques and tools, with a proven ability to apply creative problem-solving strategies to tackle challenging searches, all in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with candidates, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Adept at conveying ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Previous experience in managing relationships with external recruitment partners or vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver results under pressure. Adept at identifying solutions and driving efficiency in complex situations.
• Proficiency in working effectively within Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including Workstream (preferably), Indeed, LinkedIn and other recruitment technologies, with extensive experience leveraging these tools to streamline the hiring process, improve candidate sourcing, and enhance overall recruitment efficiency.
