Registered Nurse – Short Stay in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: 11/09/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,422–$2,511 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. This travel - temporary assignment takes place in an inpatient, acute-care setting focused on pre- and post-operative care for a broad patient population, from infant to geriatric, with a variety of health care needs. The position is represented by CNA.

Responsibilities
- Deliver pre- and post- operative/procedure nursing care for patients across the age spectrum (infant through geriatric) with diverse health care needs
- Perform routine assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Provide pre- and post-education to patients and families, including discharge planning and care instructions
- Collaborate with the care team, including other nurses, physicians, and support staff, in a fast-paced inpatient environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety, infection control, and quality of care standards
- Support care transitions and coordinate with the perioperative team for efficient flow

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current RN license
- Licenses and certifications: Active RN license in California; CPR/BLS as applicable to the role
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in pre- and post-operative care; preferred experience in a diagnostic cath lab
- Skills: Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient setting
- Schedule adaptability: Ability to work a 40-hour week in a Days shift pattern (5x8 days)
