Therapist

*Position Summary*

Maui Recovery is a Joint Commission-accredited residential treatment center on Maui providing comprehensive care for adults with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, process addictions, and co-occurring conditions. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled therapist to join our multidisciplinary team and provide evidence-based, trauma-informed care in a residential setting where clinicians have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in clients' lives.

The Maui Recovery Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to adults with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, process addictions, and co-occurring conditions throughout their residential treatment stay. The therapist manages an assigned caseload, provides individual, group, and family therapy, develops and updates treatment plans, maintains timely clinical documentation, and collaborates closely with fellow clinicians and the broader multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure comprehensive, individualized care. This is a part-time position, 2-3 days per week.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

* Maintain an assigned caseload and provide individual therapy sessions that support each client's treatment goals.
* Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
* Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
* Review and update treatment plans based on client progress and clinical needs.
* Provide family therapy and education as clinically indicated to strengthen recovery supports.
* Complete all required clinical documentation in a timely manner, including biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, group notes, utilization reviews, discharge summaries, and aftercare plans.
* Monitor client progress, assess ongoing treatment needs, and communicate significant clinical concerns to the treatment team.
* Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and other clinical professionals.
* Conduct crisis assessments, including suicide risk assessments and safety planning, and respond appropriately to psychiatric or behavioral emergencies.
* Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with state licensing regulations and Maui Recovery policies.
* Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.

*Qualifications*

* Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
* Current Hawaii licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, Psychologist), or license eligible.
* Experience working with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, process addictions, and co-occurring conditions is preferred.
* Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment modalities. Experience with Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, CBT, somatic therapies, or similar approaches is preferred.

Pay: $560.00 - $840.00 per week
