Acute Care Float Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position with a night 3x12-hour shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including a 30-minute lunch break.

Job Description

The Acute Care Float Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care across various units within the facility. The nurse will be assigned to specific areas by the nursing supervisor based on staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients in diverse units such as Medical, Surgery, Trauma, and others.
• Adapt quickly to different patient care environments and collaborate with various medical teams.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting progress in Cerner EMR.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting.
• Active, unencumbered RN license in TN or a multi-state compact license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Cerner EMR experience necessary.
• Willingness to float to various units as required.
