Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in Waterloo, Iowa. This role involves working in a high-volume surgical environment, providing perioperative patient care across various specialties, and supporting surgical procedures with a focus on orthopedics, neurology, general, GYN, and urology. The position offers rotating shifts and requires flexibility to meet the needs of the facility.

Job Details:

• Location: Waterloo, Iowa
• Schedule: Rotating shifts; 9.5 hours per shift; minimum of 38 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current operating room experience within a hospital or medical center, proficiency in orthopedics, neuro/neurology, general, GYN, and urology; highly preferred experience with operating DaVinci robotic systems; EPIC charting experience preferred; scrub experience preferred; active Iowa/IA license or multi-state compact license required; minimum of 3 months recent travel experience within the previous 18 months; BLS and ACLS certifications required; Driver's License required; must have a professional reference from within 24 months.
• Preferred Qualifications: EPIC charting experience; scrub experience; recent travel experience.
• Additional Information: Orientation scheduled for 08/10/2026; mandatory work during 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed; employee separation policy prohibits previous UPH travel employees from working at other facilities within the same system; holiday pay multiplier of 1.15x applicable; call schedule includes one shift per week and every third or fourth weekend with call pay of $9/hour; on-call pay at 1.5x with a 2-hour minimum; call back pay at 1.5x with a 2-hour minimum; shift length is 9.5 hours.
