Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paramedic role located in Cody, WY. The Paramedic will provide advanced pre-hospital medical care to individuals in emergency settings, ensuring quick and effective response. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, performing life‑saving procedures, operating emergency medical equipment, and maintaining detailed medical records. The individual will collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high‑quality care in urgent and non‑urgent situations. The Paramedic NRP provides direct and indirect care through the Policies, Protocols, and Guidelines set by Cody Regional Health, Emergency Medical Services (CRH‑EMS), and the State of Wyoming Office of EMS (OEMS); and is accountable for and provides care within the set standards of practice. The Paramedic is a member of the Emergency Medical Services team and must work with fire department personnel, law enforcement, first responders and other healthcare providers to deliver care to ill and injured patients in the out‑of‑hospital as well as hospital setting. JOB REQUIREMENTS Currently licensed as a Wyoming EMT‑Paramedic. Current National Registry – Paramedic or ability to obtain within 6‑months of start date. EXPERIENCE One plus year of EMS service preferred. (Basic; Intermediate; Paramedic). SKILLS Must have excellent leadership skills. Good driving skills are essential. Must have ability to quickly and calmly react to life threatening situations. Able to perform effectively in highly stressful situations. Ability to communicate with a variety of people of different cultural backgrounds and educational levels. Ability to assess and treat patients to the US DOT and State of Wyoming OEMS EMT‑ Basic Level. Must possess a high degree of confidentiality of all matters with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control principles. Well‑developed written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills are necessary. Must have ability to learn and use Microsoft Office Suite products including Word and Outlook. Ability to learn new computer software applications. Ability to assess and treat patients to the US DOT and Wyoming Office of EMS, EMT‑ Paramedic level.
